THE SCARECROW
Dressing as the scarecrow is a costume that comes with a great lesson. In the movie, the scarecrow spends the whole time doubting his self-worth due to his perceived lack of intelligence. He spends the whole movie feeling down in the dumps about himself, questioning his smarts, and feeling like he lacks a brain! Then when they finally reach the Emerald City, he realizes that he's had a brain the whole time and is just as smart as anyone else.
It comes as a really empowering lesson. When you dress as the scarecrow you'll be constantly reminded of the plot around him and in turn your own self-worth! You won't have to second guess a single thing in your costume. You can follow the sidewalk from house to house like it's your own Yellow Brick Road until you have a bag stuffed to the brim with candy!
FUN DETAILS
The only thing this costume is missing is some crows to scare off! You'll be wearing a green shirt that is covered with detailing that makes it look as though it is stuffed with straw! The pants are brown and look slightly worn out, and they are attached to the boot toppers! The boot toppers will cover up whatever shoes you might be wearing. We've included the rope belt and the hood and hat too! The hood and hat are essential when it comes to this costume, and it helps make it very clear who you're dressed as. Lastly, we've included the diploma, as a testament to your intelligence.
