Have you ever wondered what would happen if Auntie Em would have gotten sucked up in that twister rather than Dorothy? For one, she probably wouldn't have put up with the munchkin's nonsense for very along. All that singing and dancing when a lady is laying dead under her house? Oh no. Then, when that frivolous good witch came in and told Auntie Em she needed to skip through the whole country in heals, that would have been a double no. Auntie Em comes from hard-working pioneer stock and she would know you can't just ask some green guy on a throne to solve all your problems. Yep, Auntie Em might not have made friends, skipped through a field of poppies, or seen the Emerald City but we're quite sure she would have been home a lot faster than Dorothy. That's just how Auntie Em rolls. 

Details & Design

Just like Auntie Em, we worked hard to make this costume just right! Our designers kept it simple, a calico pattern dress with a matching bonnet and loose sleeves to keep you comfortable on the Kansas prairie. The look is finished off with a neat white apron to keep you ready for whatever chores need doing. Finish off your look with a gray wig and a pair of spectacles and you'll be ready to keep Dorothy in line!

Twister and Shout

Auntie Em isn't painted in the nicest light, in fact, she's usually shown in black and white. But really, we don't think it's fair. This lady is pragmatic. She wants her niece to stay safe. She wants her crabby neighbor lady to stay happy. And in the meantime, she's got to do laundry by hand and bake bread from scratch. So when a twister is on the horizon, let loose with a loud holler cause that's when Auntie Em really gets to vent!
