FAIR MAIDEN

Being a fair maiden in renaissance times would have been fun. Sure, you wouldn't have been able to go to the movies like we can now, and you wouldn't be able to go to music festivals or a coffee shop, but you would have something better. If you were lucky enough, you might be able to see one of Shakespeare's plays in their first performance ever!

Can you imagine how cool that would be? You could see Romeo and Juliet, or Hamlet, or Macbeth. And you wouldn't just be watching them, you'd be watching the premiere. You could say that you were one of the first people to ever see a play that would still be popular hundreds of years later. Not many people can say that, and that certainly sounds like more fun than going to the movies to us.

FUN DETAILS

This costume will have you transformed into a character right out of Shakespeare's writings. You'll be wearing a dark purple floor-length gown made of 100% polyester fabric. It is decorated with gold ribbon lacing on the bodice, and gold ribbon on the sleeves and neckline, giving this entire ensemble an air of royalty thanks to this bold color scheme. Wearing this back in Shakespeare's day would have left you as the best-dressed gal in the theater, no doubt about it.

RENAISSANCE

What would you want to see if you were alive for the Renaissance? Maybe you'd want to see Leonardo da Vinci paint? You could watch him paint one of his most famous works, like "The Last Supper". Or you could spend your time traveling the countryside of Italy and Western Europe, just soaking up all of the new ideas. (Though we suppose these ideas would be considered old to us.) Regardless, it would be an awesome experience!
